Synonymous with the excitement and glamour of world class sport and music, Wembley City is Quintain’s flagship regeneration scheme.
With the new National Stadium and upgraded Wembley Arena at its core, a dynamic fusion of homes, offices, retail and entertainment is being created just 21 minutes by tube from central London.
Construction is almost complete on the first homes. Alongside will be built restaurants, bars, shops, a 441 bed Hilton Hotel, offices and plenty of green space.
And this only described the first phase. The consultation process on the 39 acres to the north of Engineers Way has just begun and this is expected to increase the capacity of the scheme from around 6m sq ft to in excess of 10m sq ft.
Twinned with this vision of creating a unique and inspirational destination is the commitment to do so sustainably. To this end the entire scheme is being built to the BREEAM standard of ‘very good’, and Quintain is also pioneering the first use of the ENVAC system in the UK, which automatically removes rubbish through a network of underground vacuum pipes. This will reduce carbon emissions from the scheme by 91% by significantly reducing the need for road-based rubbish collection, and stimulate high levels of recycling.
