Non-Executive Director (independent)

Aged 49. Simon was appointed to the Board on 1 February 2008. He is an Industrial Adviser to CVC Capital Partners and was previously Group Finance and Property Director of Safeway plc. He was appointed as a non-executive director of Northern Rock plc in November 2007 and is a qualified accountant.

Simon is a member of the Group’s Audit, Remuneration, Nominations, Donations and Risk Committees.
