In joint venture with Lend Lease, we are developing one of the UK's largest regeneration schemes at Greenwich Peninsula in London.

At 150 acres, this extensive new quarter of the Capital is expected to form Europe's largest mass of green roofs when complete, just 20 minutes from the West End.

At the heart of the scheme is Peninsula Central – a new business district for London. Its focal point is Peninsula Square, linking the 3.5m sq ft of offices with North Greenwich tube station, retail The O2 and Ravensbourne College.

The first commercial building is now open and occupied by 1,800 Transport for London employees. Designed to be one of the most sustainable commercial buildings in the UK, it has a BREEAM rating of Excellent and features such as ground source heating and cooling, a floating roof and chiller beams. The second commercial building, Mitre Passage, is nearing now nearing completion and offers footplates of 10,000 sq ft. The London Borough of Greenwich has recently signed a pre-let for the top two floors of this building, which it will occupy from April 2010.

With 1.6 miles of riverside, many of the 10,000 new homes being created here will have views over Canary Wharf and down to the Thames Barrier. Others will overlook Central Park which lies at the centre of the scheme and provides all residents with instant access to a magnificent expanse of green space.

With 1,800 people already based here, 1,400 Ravensbourne students due to arrive in September 2010 and the first homes under construction and due for completion in 2011, there is significant momentum to this project.
